2013 1SS vs 2011 GT
Me and my brother did a few runs the other day. My car is bone stock with 750 miles. I picked it up last week. My brother's car is stock as well

He choose the speeds. He manually geared down the tranny to make sure there was no delay. I think Chevy did something with the 2013. Electric p/s and dual mode exhaust definitely woke the car up. If you noticed on the last run when he jumped, I immediately stopped his pull and started slowly realing him in. His car ran 12.90 at 110.

Great runs. Nice to know the newer SS cars are a little quicker too.
As far as the Mustangs I have so give Ohio some credit. I have friends with a 2011 GT manual and a 2012 GT auto. They both have the same Ford Racing tune, GT500 catback, and stock everything else.
At the track the auto pulls out from the light, by the 1/8th mile the manual passes him and keeps pulling slowly. Manual ran 12.7s to the autos 12.9s (3000+ DA). From a roll it would not be pretty for the auto IMO.

And isn't the fastest stock 5.0 a auto?

**** happens. They aren't all going to run the same.
Just saying in the case of these 2 particular cars, the auto would definitely get hurt from a roll.
I could care less, but it is amusing to see a 5th gen owner using his car and using it properly to shut down the Mustangs which are supposed to slaughter 5th gens all day long. I think the 5th gen gets a bad rep from the average morons that buy them (much like your average Corvette owner).

good runs... regardless of which is faster... i wish they made an A6 Boss 302.. because as of Saturday night, i now have a 45k paperweight thanks to the awesome chinese built MT82 transmission. Its stuck in second gear with a busted shift fork. Ugh

and im a firm believer that both the M6 GT and M6 SS will be a side by side roll race. The only reason the GT runs a bit stronger at the track is due to its much better 8th mile performance. More gear and less weight... A properly driven fifth gen is no joke. My buddy has a 2010, other then 2 years of seat time and a very slight tune... the car is bone stock including tire. Hes gone 12.7 at 111 with it. And he can go 12.7 on the street.
