Default Spraying thru shifts/Window switch...

People always talk about NOT SPRAYING THRU THE SHIFTS and a window switch would do just that...
So I set up a switch for 3000 to 5800 RPM, then at 5900 the car shifts...
Heres the thing tho, as soon as it hits 5800 it turns the juice off, then the car hits 5900 and it shifts, DURING the shift wouldnt it drop below 5800 turn the nitrous BACK ON and then finish the shift with it on??

How can you set up a window switch to NOT spray thru the shifts??

set it shut off earlier might get the shift over with earlier, shift and nitrous are odd combos. The nitrous extends the shifts from what I noticed. But I never used a window switch, just sprayed right thru them little bastards.

Isn't that what a WOT switch for? To prevent it from spraying until your wide open. You won't be on the throttle while your shifting.

I just spray right through mine. I think a built tranny should be able to handle it.

I spray from 3000-6000 on the stock tranny. I can tell that its slipping.

Is a window switch at all necessary for an M6 car? As in would it still be safer to stop spraying nitrous right before I manually switch the gears or is it good enough to just rely on the WOT switch?

Mike K,
A window switch for a M6 is a good idea in case you miss the shift and the
revs hit limiter and computer pulls fuel...not a good scenario.

Does anyone know the answer to the original question?
Yes we know that the window switch shuts the nitrous off at a certain RPM, but if you have it set to go off at 5800 and shift at 5900, when you shift and the RPMs come down to 5800, is that when it comes back on again even thought the RPMs are still coming down(to say 4000) because of the shift? Is that bad?

This is the reason I stopped using my window switch....the only way I could get it not to spray during the shift at all was to cut it out at 5600 - 400rpms before the shift..............I decided to just run a smaller shot.

I still spray through the shifts on my stock tranny. In any case whether it is a H/C car or N20, the stock trannies are not built to handle all that power. In general, they take a dump, but there are exceptions.
I've been enticipating mine to die at every pass, I thing the day it does, it will be like an anti climax. LOL

Justin,

I already gave you my advice.. Remote push button + WOT switch + on/off.

With an A4, there's plenty of time for you to get on & off the button during shifts.. Just get a coil cord and a pushbutton.. We can make a holder for it. (Hold in your left hand while running)
