Default At what point (PSI) do i need head studs??

putting a supercharger on soon and wanted to know if I need to be installing studs or if arp bolts would be good enough? I probably only going to run around 6-8psi boost, its a Centrifugal-type supercharger on a cammed LS2

I would say when you get to the double digits on boost, a buddys vett seen 12psi with no problem but that would be far as I would push it

Timing plays a huge role in your cylinder pressures.

15psi @ 10* = no studs
15psi @ 20* = lifting heads on TTY's

This is just an example - everybody's combo will be completely different.

With 6-8psi you would likely be fine on stock head bolts.

curious...

what about ARP bolts?

would the same numbers apply to them, even being a stronger than factory bolt?
