Default 91/88 mustang reswap 6.0/T76

I built a 91 coupe with a 4.8L and was in the process of adding a turbo. I had the core support swapped and a few days later picked up another engine. So as you all know one thing leads to another and another and another... after picking up an 88 coupe in way better shape. I'm back at square one.

Before the core support

After getting her back I decided to pull the motor to paint the engine bay

I picked up a 302 turbo kit and some ls flanges

A few minutes with my sawzaw

I need to get my hands on a torch to make the ford ports round

Now on to the 88

Swap time

Pulled the gages out

Back on all 4's.. it took about 3.5hrs to get it swapped (thanks Tim for the help)

Mustang cross member modified for a turbo 350/T5 tranny mount

Here is a lifter from my 6.0L (I was told it had nothing wrong with it) It chewed the cam up pretty good.

All 8 cylinders looked about the same.

The motor and tranny are both getting a rebuild while I'm swapping parts back and forth from the 91 to 88
I bought paint to spray the engine bay and new caster camber plates

On3 hot side ? you score it used- ive been thinking about the same thing instead on the truck headers on my 4.8 turbo fox swap.

Any other insight on adapting the fox kit ?

From test fitting everything in my 91 when it was still running it looked like it would fit with very little modifying. Other than the ls flange swap and maybe shortening the cross over I think It will fit just fine. I have 6.0 manifolds and all the piping just in case it doesnt. I'm off tomorrow so when I get up I'm going to a buddy's shop to work on the ls flanges. I'll post up picks tomorrow night

I got the passenger side manifold welded up today. The flange got slightly warped. I'm going by a machine shop after work to get it straightened. Exner transmissions rebuild my th350 and added a manual valve body

The on3 kit fits good. I've been chasing parts and getting ready to install the cam/heads/ front/rear covers and oil pan. I should have some progress pics on monday

I finally got a day off to work on the car. I got the cam/lifters installed. Heads, oil pump, windage tray and pick up all installed. I also pulled the factory 4 banger brake booster and installed a 02v6 booster with a 94gt master cylinder
