Default What dou guys think?

I have 3.73's in my car and I run a th350 fti 5200 nitrous stall lq4 with tsp 2.5 5.3 heads with a 244/234 6xx/6xx 114 lsa and a fast 90/90. I just want to get everyone's opinion on my times. I run on motor so far with this converter and feel my trap speed is pretty low. I ran a consistent 11.5x at 118 all day with a 1.6x 60' 3560 race weight. I feel the trap speed is a bit low. My question should I go to a 3.90 or 4.11 to put the car more in its power band? Does anyone think my trans could possibly be slipping? Just curious what you guys think. If anyone needs more info I'd more than glad to give it to you.

Is this a nitrous car or a motor car?
If this is a nitrous car, spray it and don't worry about what it runs on HP...

It's a nitrous car for the most part. I know it will pick up a lot more on the bottle. Just feel like it should be in the 122+ range on motor.

The 3500 rw is whats causing the low mph. What rpm you shifting at and coming thru the traps?

Like Nick said, the thing is heavy. The numerically low gear ratio isn't helping on HP either, but I wouldn't suggest changing the gear of the car is meant to be a nitrous car.
When we first brought WhiteLTone's car out, I thought he was going to be sick when it was slow on HP.. Once we hit it with 200 and it picked up 30mph, he was much happier.

If those specs you listed are right that cam looks to be way wrong for that combo. That is prob some of your problem and that converter looks too big. I bet that converter is not very efficient. What is your rpm's through the traps ?

No it's a reverse split cam I just got from my friend it was speced for his forged 370 ls3 headed motor set up. I know it is wrong but if it's free it's for me lol. I know the converter is too big. My tack is off a lot and my tuner wasn't with me at the track data logging my runs so I don't know what I cross the traps at. I'm prob gonna strap it to the dyno and log it to make sure my trans isn't slipping up top and I'm prob going to send the converted in to get restalled this winter. I'm not sure but if I can pick up the lnc002 soon I'm going try and make it to the track one last time and hit it with a 200 shot. It's going to be tuff though because I don't have a cage it's going to be a one pass type of deal. Then with that data I'll talk to fti and see what they can come up with for a restall.

You could run 1/8th passes and log a few first. Then run a full pass before you go home to get a little more data. I also agree the cam is way wrong. Ill txt ya.

It looks to be setup for the bottle by judging your 60', but I don't think the 5.3 heads is helping that 6.0 neither. You need to spray it to see how well it picks up.

Cam is way wrong, free stuff is good, but good stuff isn't free... I would not waste money on anything until you put the right camshaft in it, if you mess with the converter now and then change cams, you will just end up sending the converter back out again.
Get a good cam in it first.

If you think the tranny is slipping then spray it and see what the mph does. My heavily built TH350 would only gain 4 mph on a 200 shot vs. motor. Pulled the tranny apart and the third gear clutch pack was toast. Seems the TH350 does not like heavy cars and alot of HP.

First, I totally agree the camshaft is totally wrong, but believe it or not Thadd has a reverse split cam in his car also.

Again I believe it's totally wrong, but I still think it should run better and that something else is causing it to MPH low.

You sure it's not a 234/244? A reverse split that big for ur setup is not ideal lol
