most people say to do them at the same time to make it easier and the shop would probably charge you less for the install of the MM because they are already their and have the exhaust out of the way, i didnt do mounts when i did my headers but when i pulled my motor a few months ago i noticed that the mounts def needed to be replaced. the polys last longer and are stiffer so you might feel a little more vibration then you do with the rubber ones.

hmmm....well I have 202000 miles on the car and I bought it with 135000....and i dont know if the previous owner changed them or not.
Im thinking no.

so my delema is either get the poly's or the oem rubbers.

cons: might feel vibration

is that the only difference?

The vibrations should go away after a while. If you feel it at all. We did polys in a friend's ctsv and you couldn't even tell. I run solids and wouldn't suggest it unless you like vibrations. Lol

what about polys and headers? Ive been reading that the polys raise the motor and causes the headers to not fit properly?
any input on that?

my sig shows what type headers im installing.

With that many miles do the poly motor mounts. Maybe replace the trans mount with a stock rubber replacement.

Poly motor mounts and trans mount, some people don't like them, I have had no problems with mine regarding vibration.

absolutely do them while you are doing headers, i did polys and love them. its obviously rougher especially with the poly trans mount but the car just feels so much better and solid. you will be happy.

I just had headers done. After reading on here last second I had the mm done. I had the polys installed. The car is much stiffer at wot and the only differnce is a little rougher idle. I mean hardly noticable because they are much stiffer then stock. I was told by my tuner that the stock ones are shot at 30-40 k sometimes. I have 100k so I did them. So glad I did hope this helps

They don't really raise it; they just put it back to where is was originally, then it stays there. Rubber tends to sag. I would go poly because it will allow you to tuck the headers and Y-pipe closer to the floor board without banging, giving you more ground clearance.

ok polys are it then...Im thinking with as many miles as I have...it cant be any worse....HELL...it might even feel better! LOL

so so where is the best and cheapest place to get them.

this car is going to feel 100% night and day.

gonna do headers, LS6 intake and PP TB, mounts, new plugs, wires and a dyno tune,

I wonder what i'll get out of all that

When I installed LT headers, the heat they generated had actually accelerated the wear on my motor mounts. Within a short time, a primary started to rub the k-member and drove me nuts! I ended up installing poly mounts and a poly trans mount. My recommendation is to do both at the same time. I was amazed at how solid the trans felt after that poly mount and my headers didn't rub anymore so I was happy.

I had an underdrive pulley too. If you got a stall you'd easily be in.the 12s

Lol I'm dumb. Okay well with a m6 you'll see higher numbers on a dyno anyways. I have an asp 25% underdrive never have belt slip or anything. It's nice and solid
