Default I think that I smoked my clutch tonight?

Did a H/C/I last month. Took it the drags tonight. A nice 2nd gear burnout in the water box with the line lock. Cut a -.049 light (red light) pulled a 1.667 60ft. Had a hell of a time trying to hit 2nd, could not hit third. Only went 8.332 @84.75 MPH. Now getting in to gear is very hard, cant get rev, had to push it. Peddle engages right off the floor. The clutch is a LS6 with 30K. Do you think a bleed is in order? or is it smoked?

Doesn't sound good, but no reason not to start with a bleed

Hopefully experts can come in and help you out but I would start off by the bleed process.

I guess all of the "experts" are on vacation?

Since your having trouble disengaging the clutch it's probably a hydraulic issue. I would try flushing and bleeding first. Start with simple.

I have flushed the master, by taking the line off the trans (as per Tick). But I am not sure about the bleeder on the slave, is it a hex head bolt above where the line goes into the trans?

Yes the hex is the bleeder. These hydraulic clutches can be hard to bleed. Try reading some of the threads on bleeding for tips.

I have been reading them all day! The hex I found is not it. I just now found it after looking a photo of a slave.

Okay, been reading all weekend. I had the black clutch fluid of death syndrome. Long story short. I replaced all of the clutch fluid (no drill mod) and it seems to okay. So is this a temp fix? Or is my clutch on its last legs?
