Get a picture of the serial number on it. That is another way to know if it is LS6 or LS1.

Hard to tell from that pic above^^ Are the ribs at the bottom of the manifold flat? If they are are flat across the manifold, then it is a LS6.

Also post a pic of the serial number on the top side of the manifold.

There are LS1 intakes without the EGR hole. I think it was the 97 Vette's that had it that way. I've seen plenty of threads over the years where people get screwed over because they buy a manifold thinking it's an LS6 because it didn't have the EGR hole and it was really an LS1 intake.

Anyway, the bottom of the intake looks like the bottom of my stock LS1's intake. It looks wavy on the bottom and not completely flat like my LS6 intake. Maybe RPM WS6 will comment. That guy knows a ton about stuff like this.

LS1 (looks like the bottom of your's) on the left, and LS6 on the right...

That definitely looks like a pre-'01 LS1 intake. Props to TheBlueKnight for posting that pic.

There are 3 different part numbers for the LS6 intak that I know of, search google or on here next time for the part number and it will tell you. Dont get ripped off, make sure to research it cause I have seen people try to sell ls1 intakes as LS6 before on here and on ebay.

Correct. Corvette LS1s never had EGR tubes like the F-bodies, even before the LS6 intake was released in 2001. So the C5 LS1 intake from '97-'00 can be very deceptive if all you are looking at is a picture from the top.

About 10-15 RWHP depending on mods. Also gets rid of about 20lbs of weight from the EGR pump delete. So definitely worth it.

Might as well take the AIR system out while you are at it. Cleans up the bay some since it gets rid of a some valves, solenoids and a lot of hoses. Just need some block off plates from one of the vendors for your manifolds. Or better yet upgrade to some headers while you are at it

Yeah thats all the stuff I meant... been so long since I did it I forgot what the stuff was called. The air system is such a waste of space under there You end up with weight savings and more Power. Plus pacesetter headers are 200$ and have some of the best fitment on F bodies, cant beat it.
