Default Questions about Edelbrock Pro Flo XT intake manifold

Very interested in the intake manifold for single turbo. Just have some questions that I cant seem to find anywhere. And all the pictures I can find of it is taken from the drivers side.

What I'd like to know is, is there a port for the MAP sensor? What other sensors goes to it that I might not be thinking of? Is there a port to run a vacuum line to the brake booster? What do I do about the PCV valve and lines? (if LS's have PCV, havent looked into this yet)

I'm running one on my n/a 408 and love it!

Stock map sensor pushes into a hole up on the passenger side and comes with a bolt and tab to clamp it in, then on the very back, and between the runners there are several threaded ports. Mine came with enough screw in lug plugs to block all the ports, plus several different size screw in vacuum nipples to mix and match so you can run the vacuum lines you need.

If you look close you can see the hole for the map just over the third runner from the right and one of the vacuum ports down between the top of the center two runners.

Best option for pcv valve is to run a catch can between the valley pan and port on the back of the tb (if your n/a), but you might went to post that question in the forced induction section since your going boosted.

Awesome thanks so much. Every pic I've seen is on the drivers side. And I guess at either angle I never would have know about the threaded holes on the rear. I'm 100% sold now. Thanks again.

Yup, I polished the top, sides, throat, and down the size of the runners, then painted the sides of the runners an bottom of the intake gloss black to break up the lack of color.

I also polished the fuel rails, valley pan and timing cover....lol some times I just get board and enjoy polishing things.

What are you looking to run this in? It is a tall intake. 10.75"s from valley pan to the top of the throat. I had to drop my engine down a half inch and build a 2" scoop to get it to fit in my 04 GTO.

I'm seriously about to google how to polish stuff.

Going to run it in a 96 LT1 camaro in my sig pic. Swapping to turbo LQ4. From all the pics I've seen I'm sure I'm going to have to cut the cowl but thats fine. And I want a VFN 3" SS hood anyway. Car is already gutted and no show car

Ok glad you know what your getting into lol all the F-body cars I've seen run it end up notching the fowl, but you already know. Might be able to drop the engine down a hair with different motor mounts to lessen the cowl notch.

I start out with 80-150 grit on my DA sander and lock it to single action spin.

Then 320
Then 400 wet
Then 600 wet
For the actual polishing I use a 4.5" angle grinder with the buffing polishing wheels and the colored compound sticks.

You can get all the polishing stuff at your larger truck stops or even at Lowes/ Home Depot.
But the truck stops carry the large compiund sticks.
You will need a course wheel and a fine wheel and try a few of the differebt compiunds till you get the best one for the hardness of the metal you are polishing.

The big thing is do NOT skimp on your sanding or you wont get it to polish out good.

I'm looking into running this intake also. Do you have to lose your windshield wipers?

Ive heard some say yes, and ive heard some say no. I do know on the f-bodies you have to atleast notch the cowl some but not sure how much or if you could drop the engine a hair lower so you could cut less.
