Converter Identification
Hey every one. Picked up a mystery car with a few strange mods and what looks like a aftermarket converter. The guy I got it from picked the car up from the guy who I assume took good care of the car. Unfortunately the last owner did not and destroyed the number one cylinder…. Literally the largest peace of the piston that was left was about 1/3 of the size of my fist. The motor had been clearly rebuilt at some point and was sporting a super small comp cam (210/220 114lsa) The car also appears not to have the stock converter on it. The converter has a tag that is partially missing that has the date 8/08 and the numbers 842SS is clearly marked above it and says invalid if removed. The converter is blue and also has 42SS on the frot of the converter marked in some form of permanent marker. The numbers K11C08 and KLCB90 are also stamped on the converter.
This is in a 97 LT1/4L60 car.

You guys are amazing. I have run precision converters in the past and had good luck with them but I also have a mystery B&M converter that the old owner claimed is a 2800-3000 stall that I had planed on running but now I am not so sure.

After some digging I think the old owner told me wrong on the black converter. I think it is in fact a TCI StreetFighter. The number stamped on the front of the converter is 243105 and it is a lot smaller then the blue precision. I will post pics in a second.
And my number one helper
My question is should I stick with the precision or go with what I am assuming is a 3000 stall tci.
