Top 10 mods?
LTs are fairly cheap and are available pretty much anywhere. With new folks joining everyday, I just wanted to get peoples' opinions what their top 10 mods they would do to their LTXs when starting out with a bone stock vehicle. List can include anything performance/suspension/appearance/sound ect...Obviously there will be many different point of views due to drag/autocross racing and just your daily driver. So what's your list?

I believe theres already a favorite mod post somewhere (might be on ltxtech actually)
going from a 16x8 to a 17x9 (if not already a ws6 or ss)
CAI/ 1le elbow (if not ram air)
headers
coolant bypass
catback
short shifter (or stall converter)
Gears 3.42 or 3.73 for auto 3.73 or 4.11 for 6sp
Cant really think of anymore worth while simple things without digging into the motor.

1. tint the hatch

3. short throw shifter for t56 cars
4. CAI
5. Long Tube Headers
6. Cat back exhaust
7. LS1 steering shaft
8. LS1 front brakes

Just starting out...
CAI, Headers, ORY, stall if auto, gears, 1.6rr's, better diff, 15" rear wheels and DR's.
After being tired of that, heads/cam/N20 on stock block
After that blows up, stroker, heads/cam/N20

Because you can come across LT1 cars so cheap now. And some people may like them more than the LS body style. Maybe they found one with a blown motor that needs to be replaced or rebuilt. There are plenty of reasons why you should buy one. I'm not saying not too. I'm just saying that putting money in an LS swap is the best mod dollar per horse power. I would love to have a 97 SS anniversary edition convertible.

Top ten mods:
1). Free Mods (spare tire removal, TB Bypass, !AIR/!EGR, ect)
2). Headers and Y-Pipe
3). Catback
4). Stall or Clutch
5). Tires (ones appropriate for whatever you want to do with the car)
6). Air intake (CAI and Elbow)
7). Tune (mail order or dyno tune)
8). Tranny cooler (good idea for any car)
9). Upgraded Fuel pump
10). 12 bolt or 9" rear end
I feel the above list is a pretty good starting platform for a generic street car build. A top 10 list for a specifically drag racing, auto-x, or road racing would differ some.
Drag Car:
1). Long tubes
2). 150 shot kit
3). Upgraded Fuel pump
4). Stall or Clutch
5). Drag Radials/slicks and skinnys
6). Free weight reduction including interior parts and A/C
7). Dumped X-Pipe
8). Dyno Tuning
9). Drag Shocks
10). CAI, lid swap, or ram air
