Default Done with nitrous

For those that don't already know I have decided the ditch the nitrous and I am now going turbo. I just wanted to say thanks to some of the guys in here for the help over the past year and a half and for the ones still trying to meet your nitrous goals good luck!

Iron block 346. Basically transferring my internals and heads to a bored over 5.3 block. That way we can really make killer power and not sweat block failure. I already have a s476r turbo, bov, and an intercooler. Just ordered a 10 pt chromoly cage yesterday. Our goal is to get down to 5.1x or 5.2x in the 1/8th.

A 5.1 in the 1/8 mile is rolling for sure. That would put you at an 8.0 in 1/4!! That's smoking ;-)

Good luck on the new adventure!

I like watching folks spend money and get good results. Get that car as safe as you can 5 teens will be strolling.

Good luck Thadd, I really like n2o too but I am almost finished gathering all my parts to put my first turbo build together. Im using an aluminum Gen 4 5.3 block, ported LS1 heads, TBSS intake, Lil John cam and a S475 T6 96mm turbine, with a glide and a set of 3.50's in the 9" to get started. Im only shooting for 5.60's but well see soon. I will have a n20 kit on it too if needed!

That sounds like a pretty good set up to me. It should make some power. I wanted to stick with the aluminum block but scared it won't hold up in the power range we are trying to be in

I did, thanks man. Money is the only thing slowing me down. We are changing a lot....... 10 pt cage, fuel system, swapping to an iron block, all the pipping. I'm guessing it will be middle of the summer before I am up and running
