Ls7 clutch to fit my needs?

Ls7 clutch to fit my needs?
Please don't say do a search. It's time for a new clutch seeing as my cartek is on it's last leg. I've seen a lot of good things about the ls7 clutch but always see things like it won't last, but they always mention going to the track. Well this is a 100% street car and will never see the track, so my question is will this clutch be a good street clutch with some spirited driving and 450ish rwhp? I'm tired of aftermarket clutches after dd'ing my cartek for 5 years. Don't say twin disk, $1000 clutch ain't happening right now.

IMO the LS7 will do you fine. If you're not going to the track or do any 6000 rpm drops I have a used one with lots of life left. $150 Let me know. Dan. 928-205-8835

Im using an ls7 clutch and its mostly street driven..its grabby but smooth..firm pedal feel.Ive tracked it and dont recommend it..seeing as I just damaged it yesterday making passes.Ive had it for 3 yrs with lots of hard driving and it was great. Now at around 1700rpm the pressure plate makes this loud rattling sound but other wise its still going strong. Not sure what I will go with next

I've always heard good things about diamond, I would like to run a tick MC as well and know its a pain with the ls7, maybe I can just scoop up a stage one since its still an all organic clutch and is basically a more badass ls7, not to mention give some business to some local Texas folks. We'll see after my finals are over with and how much I make at work in the coming weeks.

I'm just gonna order the diamond and the tick and get it over with, my MC was on its way out as well, I am just gonna use my old flywheel should still be good. Diamond lowered their prices so it was kind of a no brainier to get the $360 clutch that I know I can beat the **** out of and use my tick MC without any problems.

I don't think it's anything like the LS6 clutch. It's finicky does not like to be slipped as much. It's a good street clutch i wouldn't buy one if i had planned on racing with it. Tick MC is a GREAT choice! How i've lived without one for so long beats me!

I went from a worn out Cartek as well (somehow I thought it would last forever with minor bolt-on power, and ONLY street/autocross/open track driving ) to an LS7 setup with a Ram alloy flywheel.
I could not be happier (put the Tick remote bleeder in at the same time so I can bleed the master BY MYSELF at ANY time with ease!) with this setup, and it only gets that burnt friction material smell if I slip it EXCESSIVELY at VERY high revs.
It is DEAD quiet, unlike the Cartek which squawked like a stuck goose when cold, and in cold weather upon release (even at low revs).
