Default Powertorque slave ?

So I just purchased an ls7 clutch setup from a member on here and I also have a powertorque ls7 slave. I just want to make sure before I rip everything apart that I don't need a shim or anything else for the slave. It should work fine without anything right? My concern came when I was about to buy a full kit from a supplier on here and he said I need his modified ls7 slave or it will not work. He also said he never heard of anyone using this slave even though I told him several people have on the board. I picked up my slave for $90 and his modified one is around $220. Will I be safe with the power torque and no shim? Or should I sell it and go with the modified one? I just don't want any problems and have to pull the trans back out. Also what torque do I tighten the flywheel and pressure plate? 48ft/lbs on each? Thanks.

You will need to cut the transmission to fit the line in.

Not cut

Cut

Cutting the trans is no problem, I just want to make sure it will engage and disengage properly and my pedal will not be to high or low.

It feels fine to me but some people say the clutch engages to low.

I didn't have to cut or trim my trans at all. Just tweaked the LS7 line a tad and it fit in the OE spot perfectly fine. It was also a PowerTorque slave.

I never have understood why people cut the trans up to install an LS7 slave. That line bends pretty easily. As long as you don't kink it your good. You only have to move it an inch lol

Exactly!

There are a few lengthy threads. I even have pictures of how i bent mine in my build thread. I will find it later. This was also on MY 05 V.
