First outing in 3800lb. 6 speed 408=6.50@107

200 shot, B8EFS plugs and a Spec 3+. It was very rich on these passes. Mid 10's to high 10's air fuel. We were not worried about the tune at all on this outing. Well I take that back as we did take half a pound of FP out, but forgot to plug the wide band back in after doing so.
It has our Level 3 Viper Spec T56 with bungs and sprayers. I'll post more pictures and videos from the race we went to. We made it to the semi finals with a totally untested car in the Manual Shootout at Draggin' Rights.

Launching at 7k? 60'?
My "stock" t56 finally let go last weekend... so far i'm guessing input shaft grenaded after 10 6k dumps on slicks. So i'm very interested in that Level 3 trans. Stock gear ratio? About how much power is that car putting down?
I'm only at 400hp, and don't even powershift... but I definitely want/need something that'll survive my frequent track outings

Sorry for the thread derail Martin.

No sir. This has the stock synchro's in it still. This is a true 100% street car. This car weighs 3800lbs because it has not one lick of weight reduction done to it. No cage, full leather interior the way it came from GM, stereo, A/C, p/s, p/w, abs, battery up front, iron block, 9" with an iron housing, stock brakes and the list goes on and on and on.
The car weighs 3584 with 3/4 tank of fuel and has 56% on the nose which is ridiculous. We're going to move the batt. to the back using our relocation kit and possibly install a tubular K-member and upper/lower a-arms as it still has the stock k-member and arms.
This pass was launched off the 7100rpm rev limiter set in the computer via HPT. We will be installing a 2-step before the next track outing. It was too hard trying to manipulate the throttle at 10-20% TPS and then flat foot it while side stepping the clutch from a heel toe position. Just too much to think about.
Once the two step is on, it will probably end up being set at 4000rpm and letting the nitrous do it's job and generate the wheel speed that we need for us instead of using engine rpm and modulating the throttle to do it.
No problem. Some of them go some of them don't. It really depends on what kind of clutch you have, how hard it locks up when it grabs, how heavy the car is and of course how much power you're making.
Matt, it can right now! Just put a slick on it! Those radials aren't doing you any justice. IMO a six speed car at the track with the suspension underneath it and the drive-train underneath it to handle a launch like this, that is running radials is selling themselves short. IMO you must use a slick with a manual transmission to get any kind of consistent impressive E.T. out of it. You might get one glory pass with a radial with a manual transmission, but that's going to be very few and far between.
That was my boss Jonathan driving the car.

Here are some other passes from Saturday:
Motor pass 7.20@98
Qualifying pass 6.82@106
Round one bye 6.7x@105
Semi-finals loss 6.90@107
The car is so nose heavy right now with 56% nose weight, that the front shocks have to be set on full loose just to get it to transfer weight to the rear tires, but since we weren't able to leave against the two step with the gas matted, that weight wasn't staying transferred and 5 feet out the nose would drop as you can see in all the videos. When that happened with the track as hot as it was, it just made for excessive wheel speed and tire spin. The one good 6.50 pass we got was when the clouds had been out all morning long keeping the track cool. Even then with the track cooler it probably would of went faster had the weight stayed transferred and caused less wheel spin. Once the track got hot it was grease/spin city.
We've got plans to fix that though!
