Any one use a steering wheel button to activate boost controller?
I ordered a boost leash and compressed air setup. It has a scramble boost feature where with a 12 volt signal you can momentarily add boost when you hit a switch.
I thought it would be cool to have the button on my factory ta steering wheel.
Is it possible to use lets say the preset button for a 12volt signal? I don't have a wiring schematic so i don't how its wired.
If that can't work has any one set up a momentary button on a factory steering wheel?

i couldnt find a button that attaches to the factory steering wheel so i made my fog light switch the scramble input. works great but id like to have something on the wheel. but you cant make your steering control buttons do it because they run off low volts you would have to rewire the whole thing.

Id rather not rewire the whole thing. Ill try the fog light since its just sitting there. I wonder if i could mount a switch where i could hit it with my knee on my right leg while im in it. Thinking out loud

Im going to try and put a switch down low on the floor board. Kind of like the old cars had their bright switch. I think that would be easy and work great.

You don't have to do all that. I didn't do it on a turbo setup but I have wired customer cars for a nitrous setup.
I used the preset button for one stage and the am/fm button for another stage.
You have to find those wires at the base of your column and you can do a relay setup to trigger a 12 volt signal to the boost controller.
I used each button to do a negative trigger to the solenoids for the nitrous.
I really would have to give credit to my cousin (car audio installer specialist) that did most of the wiring aspect and I just provided the schematics and we went from there.

Can you find out what type of signal comes off the steering wheel buttons?, i was under the impression it was a resistance signal. If so i don't know how that would work to trigger a relay
