Put the pickuo and oil pan on with gasket just snug to check clearances amd it hits the oil pan amd stops. Any ideas or experiences on this? Can I just dejt in the pan where it knicked the pan off the rod bolt.. I dont wanna space the oil oan.. then it wont seal right. Iv spaced yhe windage tray but agn the rod bolt hits the pan and stops.. anyway t o dent pan or somthing dor it to clear??

Sorry typing on a phone. But I have a shortened windage tray exposing the number 1 and 2 rods and oil pump. Once everything is together pan on and everything. As I rotate the internals to check clearances. The number 2 rod bolt hits the pan. Using a stock f body oil pan off a 2000 ws6

lol, better...
my first thought is an aftermarket oil pan but cant recall the height/depth difference between stock and non that far forward. its pretty tight up there relative to the k-member.

Yes im sure. The windage tray has been cut short to clear the oil pan so it leaves the number 1 and 2 rod bolts exposed. (From my old ls6) so when I put the windage tray on and bolt the pan on.. rotate to check clearances. It hits the pan. It put a knick in the pan
