Love this! LS1 STILL kicking some ***. Great motor. I have to hand it to GM.
BTW, if the L99 Camaro were to be a manual transmission, would it have made a difference? Just curious if they run harder than the Auto

the LS3 camaros (m6's) don't have the VVT or cylinder shut off which which results in them being rated higher from the factory (426hp to our 400). but i doubt it would have made any difference just looking at the way the ls1 was pulling

true. I ran one when my 02 was basically stock and I beat it even worse than in this vid.
most l99's run mid 13's at best around 105 which is a good race for a 3v.

a little. stock l99's dyno hardly any more at the rear wheels than an ls1 car. except they weigh almost 4000 pounds.

This. I think a good tune helps them a lot. I ran my sisters bone stock L99 against my buds M5 3V stang that has a tune, X-pipe, 4.10s and DRs(13.2 is his PB). From a dig he was about 3 cars ahead by 110. She runs nothing but 87 in it though and it felt weak honestly.

Nice run… The 5th Gens are really having a tough time taking down their older siblings. No doubt that this will change, once the paint fades a little, the ashtrays get dirty, the bolsters chafe and the second and third owners tear into them.
