help, car starts but wont run

Default help, car starts but wont run

as it says, i start the car and it fires and runs for half a second but thats it. I started looking for all the grounds to make sure that i have them in order, 3 on the back of the head, 2 drivers side kick panel and 1 passenger side kick panel. Its getting plenty of fuel and pressure, pump is new and repaired bad fuel fitting at the rails and with the key on more than plenty of fuel is spilled everywhere. I have a 3 bar map sensor in it and no mass air for tuning but nothing has been done yet. wanted to start it get the trans filled and make sure I have no exhaust leaks and make sure everything is in order before heading to the dyno to tune it. could it be the lack of MAF and the 3bar MAP keeping it from running? any help is appreciated

Yep that's the problem. Did you install bigger injectors as well?

They are stock for the moment, left them.in for the initial start up before tuning so could check it over.

If you have a 3 bar map in and didn't alter it in the tune, it will not run.

Thats exactly what i have. I will swap the stock 2 bar back in it to check it all over for leaks (oil, coolant, exhaust) and get the new transmission full of fluid. Thanks guys, both of you for the help

Stock isn't a 2 bar map either. You'll have the same problem if you put a 2 bar map in unless it was already changed to a 2 bar operating software.

I understand, i was under the assumption stock was a 2 bar.

So, do you have a 2 bar or 3 bar map that you attempted to use? 2 bar will allow you to read a second atmospher (bar) which is the 14.68 psi of boost, and the 3 bar is double the boost to be able to be tuned on the VE. It's read in kpa. 2 bar is 210kpa and 3 bar is 315kpa. The stock one is just 105kpa.

I have a 3 bar will be tuning w but as for factory i would.guess its not a 2 bar since its a factory part and tuning still.

It should start with the stock map. You don't need a maf hooked up for it to run. Just don't expect to drive it like that

I dont want to drive it, just let it idle so i can get the trans full of fluid.

Plugged the stock map in and ran a vacuum line to the port the pcv valve used to connect and plugged the map into that and it has come to life.
