Default Harlan Shift Light - Help Me Pick Correct RPM Setting

Mods are in my signature below. Rev limiter is currently set at 6700 rpms due to needing a bigger fuel pump. Once new fuel pump is installed, the rev limiter will go up to 7000 rpms. Right now, I've got the shift light set at 6500 rpms, but is that too high with the rev limiter being set at 6700? If so, what should I change it to?

I was just thinking maybe lowering it down to 6300 or 6400 RPM's because once the light goes on, it doesn't take long at all to climb another 200 RPM's and hit the rev limiter. I think I'm going to change it to 6400 RPM's tonight. Thanks for the help.

I bought the Harlan shift light off Frost's website. I'm sure you've heard of him; he's one of the best LSx tuners around. Just google his name and you'll find his website.

Red. It's the only color that won't affect your night vision.

Thanks, I'll be placing my order in today. How long did it take you to hook it all up & how are you liking it?

It didn't take me too long at all, maybe an hour total. I like it a lot. It's a very nice piece and works as described.

No problem. Make sure you print off the directions on LS1 How To, as they have a write-up on instaling the Harlan Shift Light. It also shows you how to program the dip switch inside the shift light for the correct number of cylinders and your desired RPM. Let me know if you need any help.
