Default Speedometer option

Idea for us with conversions that need gauges.

I just got a speed hut speedometer, GPS ran so if I change tire size or gears there's no issues. 4 wires and a in dash antenna and its done. Syncs to satalite in about 4 seconds and it was only 225$ shipped. Really accurate and is really fast sweeping! It a option for you as it has worked really well for me so far. Just a quick ish 50-100 mph http://youtu.be/tejCdW2UCIY im on my phone so if the link doesnt work does can someone fix it for me haha? I need to get my bottle hooked up or put a blower on it lol the speed it has is getting boring.

I used the one on my phone but it was a pain to hold onto or to look down at and a lack of a permanent odometer was killing me. There are nifty features on this, odometer, trip, clock, direction, speed, max speed, 0-60 mph (reads out with time and feet to reach 60), a 1/4 mile thing too. Idk how accurate the 0-60 and 1/4 thing is but I'm sure it's close if they sell it. Good quality. I like mine and they have options. I'm prolly gunna switch to all gauges from them. I like the fact I can change tires or gears without worrying about te speedometer being off. It was 270$ but there was a eBay "sale" and I got it for 225$. Worth it to me. Anyone else run them that can give a long term review?

The more and more I drive mine I like it more and more. If its been off for a while it takes longer than I'd like to acquire a satalite but that could be e cause of where my antenna is placed. Ill do a long term review next summer I'm sure. It's about time to park the truck now

I couldn't survive with winters and having to store a ride for that long. I get in and go and the race track never closes weather permitted or maintenance.

Dakota Digital makes a GPS based unit (GPS-50-1) $199.99 that will provide your speedo with a PWM signal, much better option as you don't have to out for a new speedo and cut up your dash.

It's already down to 40 here in the mornings so snow isn't far, northern North Dakota isn't a high hp/nice car/summer car only friendly place. I've only got the higher hp 2wd thing so it sucks, no choke either and idk how -45* and that combo will agree lol
The antenna looks identical to that on a xm/Sirius radio. Even the same plug. If your xm works I'd say this would. I haven't had issues with clouds or rain with my xm but buildings give me issues. The same buildings that affect my xm didn't affect my speedo. Maybe it picks up different satellites a and has more to choose from? I also have a aluminum dash so my options for placement and size were limitless. Not everyone has that ability, just was my case. Twisted a axle on the truck today, kinda funny watching the axle and tire pass you. No damage other than a side ache from laughing so hard. It was a stock 7.5 10 bolt with 455~ whp goin thru it so it was on borrowed time anyways. Wheel hop killed it.

I've got a 8.8 I'm going to build this winter. I need to just get a new axle to get the truck moving again
