Default Cracked FAST intake and replacement option

My car is a 02 Formula with some bolt on. Anyone ever experience this? I've a crack running all the way across the bottom of my FAST 90 intake. Plus there's 2 injector port cracked. Also, the whole bottom is kinda shifted, looks like due to heat.

Looking for replacement now. Either going back to stock LS6, or Holley 300-111, or BBK SSI with the 80mm TB. I'm more into Molley because of price point ($400) and being aluminum. Going for a FAST 92 is more than double price and I'm afraid same thing might happen again.

Did you change out the valley cover bolts to the low profile Allen head bolts? Judging by the impressions in the bottom of the intake, it looks like the intake cracked from contacting the stock valley cover bolts.

Only time I've seen them crack is if the valley bolts aren't changed. I bet you had some crazy idle going on.

I did change the bolt. Also, the injector port crack out of the molding don't make sense.

Anyway, I haven't update my parts knowledge for long time. I don't even mod my car much now. Will you guys recommend the BBK SSI or Molley?

Contact comp cams and see how they can help. Looks to me to be regular head valley bolts not switched to button head and/or possbily overheated??? I wouldn't think button head bolts wouldn't cause those impressions unless the heads were seriously milled and I still wouldn't think that could happen.

I'm hoping they sell the piece separately. Mine is the older FAST 90 not 92. Not sure if those still available.

BTW, no one have opinion on those BBS and Holley intake?

I love my BBK. Don't have dyno numbers or anything to back it up, but haven't had any problems out of it either. Install was easy and best of all it looks good.

Someone WILL buy your upper shell for their FAST 78, that much I can promise.

Personally I'd go with a FAST 92/102 and stay away from a metal intake. Unless the car is in a fire I don't ever see this type of damage happening again.
