Opinions on the F1-X
Wondering if this blower is suitable for my setup or not and opinions on it, car has a D1SC on it now but may consider the F1X if it will fit and work well. thanks!

More than likely it will. I been looking into procharging my next vehicle which will be a C6 grand sport. At first I was going to go the F1A route, but I'm getting an A6 and plan on keeping the car streetable and stay around the 600-700rwhp range so I'm just going to get a D1Sc instead.

The F1-X is substantially bigger. Some cutting would be required. JJcamaro was able to get the schoneck bracket on his car which would be the way to go. Its a large bracket. Youd be in 2200-2500 for just the bracket/pulley setup to efficiently run that blower.
A cog setup would be ideal for it, and the ATI super pulley would aid in keeping the cog belts from snapping.
Fuel system would need to be able to support 1100-1250rwhp at least.

I say go for it....when it comes to boost, bigger is better...if your engine can handle it
at 10:1, you are going to run into issues pretty quickly....
consider a thicker head gasket to lower your compression some
80lb injectors (rated at 3bar?)will be pushing it, but they will work as long as you dont try to make too much boost
only you will be able to determine the Fit...but it is pretty big, so you gotta be prepared to change some things around to make it work
Dan Shoneck(shoneck composites) makes a nice cog setup for an f1 with an LS engine... you will also need a CBR alternator relocation bracket, and you might have to make some changes to the power steering(I cant remember for certain on that part)
you may also need the ATI super pulley sprag cog for street driving or if you need to peddle the car at WOT otherwise you will throw belts
or you can try to keep it a 10 rib/12 rib setup and hope it slips a little when you need it to
definitely call procharger to get a suggested pulley combo to get to the desired boost value....
or just pulley to spin it as hard as it will go, and add a wastegate to the equation to control overall boost levels.
it will be good for closer to 1200 HP, and you dont need a 6 bolt block...though it certainly doesnt hurt to have one

I have one customer using the F1X, very capable supercharger for all out racing. I have never ran it on dyno, but fuel consumption and performance (4.5X 1/8 mile@3300#) puts him over 1600hp with that blower. I would not choose it for a 4 bolt engine as the F1A will produce 1200hp and would be better suited to what it sounds like you are doing.

Lots of people saying the same thing as you and that procharger is under rating this blower! Hearing that it is more capable than the f2.

The F2 makes more overall HP and has been more MPH at the same weight on the same combo in back to back testing. It will make about 2-4 lbs of boost more than the F1X. The F1X is an incredible blower and is overkill for what your trying to do. An F1C or YSI is plenty blower for what you are looking for.
