Default Z06 Rocker Arm Upgrade

Has anyone upgraded the rocker arms on an LS6 motor (2004 Z06)? If so what length pushrods did you use and how many HPs did you gain?

I purchased a set of CompCam Ultra Gold Rockers..

Is your car already cammed?! The stock rockers work pretty well in these LS motors. Rule of thumb is to always measure as far as pushrod length goes...

No it's not cammed. Intake has been replaced and it has a set of shorty headers.

Ok, well in that case aftermarket rocker arms should be the least of your worries. Even if the motor is modified the stock rocker will be more than enough to suffice. The only time you should be worried about running an aftermarket rocker is if you're also running an aftermarket set of heads that do not accept the stock ones. Hope this helps.

Consider returning the Comp Cams Ultra Gold's and doing the Comp Cams Trunion upgrade to the stock rockers instead. A lot cheaper and all that's needed with no chance of losing the needle bearings through the motor.

Default Trunion Upgrade

I agree. Money is better spent on the Comp Cams trunion upgrade.

In addition to pushrods, better add valve springs. Stock LS6 springs won't control those rockers at high RPM. This is very expensive for what at best will produce 5hp on the dyno.
