Default CEL came on once, haven't seen it since

When I bought my '95 Trans Am the previous owner told me the CEL comes on after long drives. I've put 1000 miles or so on it since I've purchased it and the CEL came on once during a 40ish minute drive to where I work. The next time I started my car it didn't come on and hasn't came back on since. This was back in October-ish last year and I have made that same drive many times in my car and the light hasn't came on ever again since that incident. Should I be worried about it or should I ignore it like it isn't there? I know the 95 cars came with an OBD1 computer and an OBD2 port and my scanner doesn't work with it I'm pretty sure, so could I go to a local dealer/store and have them check it for free? Like I said, I'm just wondering if this CEL is even worth stressing over because I'm somewhat OCD when it comes to my car It has 49,xxx miles on it FYI.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't be worried about it, but if you wanted to, you can look up history codes and see what it was.

I figured that's what I'll probably do if I ever see it again. If I remember right, the light will go off if something is read incorrectly. If it goes back to it's normal state the light will go off though. That's just what I've read, I'm by no means no expert on 'modern' cars haha. I've mainly dealt with building/working on carbed SBCs and I6's so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I'm always willing to learn something new

Iowa wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have such horrendous winters... - 60 Wind chills here at least once a week... Anyways, I'm hijacking my own thread.

Probably an EGR code, but likely has gone out of history in the PCM after this long. You can adapt your 12 pin scanner like this.
