Turbo Lt1 Spark plugs
Hey everyone,
I have a 383 ,stock ported heads and intake, cc305, delteq coil system, and a rear mount t70 turbo. Im having a issue under boost, sometimes the car will cut out and backfire hard. Im thinking the spark is being blown out. Im currently running the ngk br7ef plug. The car will see 15psi. Any ideas on plug and gap I should try?

For consistent spark, you might try a .03 gap.
What is the rest of your system like? Do you know for sure that you have enough fuel? Intercooled? Water/meth injection? Tuning or boost timing retard?

Hey Kevin,
I have twin in tank 255 pumps, 60 lbs injectors, big front mount intercooler. My AFR is on the rich side right now at 10.8 and I run a 2 bar sd tune on a stock pcm. I have 27 deg timing on low boost (8.5 psi) and 24 deg on high boost (15 psi). it will cut out and back fire on the low boost setting too. It will almost feel like I hit the breaks and a lot of fire and black soot comes out when this happens.

OK That high boost timing is after the pcm adds it 4 deg. Ill try closing up the gap.

Start with .026 and go smaller from there? Is that with the tr6 plug?
