Default Reroute go head coolant lines for ls6 intake

Trying to get my ls6 intake on my 5.3 and these coolant lines are in the way. Any advice on moving them or another way to route them?

There are various ways to do it. If you want to keep the 4 corner line you will have to get adapters and run the lines above the intake. I might also have seen where people did some grinding on the intake to make the lines fit.

The other option is to just cap the rear ports and run a LS6 style front only crossover tube.

They just hit some of the ribs on the underside of the intake. I took a die grinder and clearance them to make mine fit. Just go slow, and you'll be fine. You don't need to go into the actual bottom of the intake at all.

I think I'll try taking it slow with the dremel.

This also brings up another good question, should I bypass cooling the throttle body? If I shouldn't where do I run the outlet on the throttle body? I can't were where I would return it (the coolant) out of the TB....

Ok so I trimmed the bottom of the intake and everything is lining up better, trimming it was easy.

However I still need to figure out what to do with the coolant lines. Cap or run? I think running them would be best. With that where do I route the output of the coolant? I have no idea where to run it to complete the cycle

The hose attached to the metal lines that are under your intake hooks to one side of the throttle body, the other side that comes out of the TB goes to the radiator in a factory application, I usually have a fitting added to my radiator. Some people drill and tap the water pump for a fitting, or you can T it into the upper radiator hose, there's places you can get the adapter to do this, Jagsthatrun I believe makes them. If you're going to bypass the TB, just run the hose from the metal lines to wherever you want to tap the line into.

If you run a surge tank the steam line hooks to the tank.

Do either of you have a preference on running the TB coolant or just bypassing it? I just read the TB's run hot....mainly why I planned to run coolant thru the TB......

I've never heard of throttle bodies running hot. The coolant line is there to keep them from icing up in extremely cold climates. If it you live in a warm climate, or won't drive it in extremely cold weather, you can bypass it, it will keep your intake air temps lower.

Wouldn't drive it much below 40 so I can't see it freezing. I'll just bypass it.
