Default Nitrous XPress come on in...

any deals on valves now or coming soon? I need a 15lb bottle valve, high flow--would like to get it soon.

I have two of your valves on my 10lb bottles and they are excellent. They have 45 degree exits and a port for NANO air push and gauge port.

Does this one have the same ports?

Do you need the NANO ports? We'd be more than happy to make you a deal on some valves. The one you linked just has two gauge ports, but we still have some of the NANO style 45 valves like you have back there we can sell. If you get a chance, just PM or call at 940-767-7697..

yes, NANO. Could you send a picture of the valve side view and from the bottom where I can see the diameter of the pushport hole next to the pickup tube?

Thanks for your quick response. I called back earlier and ordered the valve.

I have 3 bottles I run:
2-10lb w/Nitrous Express 45 valve
1-15lb w/Nitrous Outlet 45 valve
(Note: the NE pickup tube is actually much smaller)

I've always noticed the 15lb bottle does not have a "constant" purge and could never quite figure that out. It would also seem to purge clear sometimes instead of a steady stream of nitrous, often leading me to believe bottle was empty. However, bottle was not empty.

In any case, I found the following:

When running the nitrous express valved bottles, the car runs better and harder on nitrous and vents better on purge.

What I attribute this to:

1) smaller push port entry to bottle on NO valve, (though I don't know if they ever intended NANO to be used on it)

2) When blowing through the push port by mouth, it was very difficult to blow through the NO vs NE valve, so was thinking the NANO bottle may not be filling as rapidly as I originally thought.

3) Or The smaller diameter entry for the NANO may be shooting a direct stream of nitrogen in to the liquid nitrous aerating it.

Now, for the last comparison. The Nitrous Outlet valve was way better than the 90 degree NANO valve. The NANO valve, however was probably setup better than the other two w/respect pressuring the nitrous bottle, as the inflow is around the tube and distributed.

I love the Nitrous Outlets DP system on my car, but the valve is leaving questions when using w/NANO. I am going to test soon and will know for sure.

It looks like that, but instead of SN: 00813 (in link you posted), mine is
SN: 00834. Are they the same?

Sorry the other pictures weren't coming up. Yes that is our billet valve. The number on the side is the serial number. Are you using the same nano system on the 10 and 15 lb bottles?

Which nano system are you running? If the purge is venting air intermittently then we've got something going on.

Explain your theory. Sounds like you are honed in on the NANO system .
I use the Competition 4500 for 15lb bottle.

I haven't yet formulated a theory. I'm just trying to get a grasp on what all components you're using. How is the bottle oriented in the car? Also, you're positive the siphon tube is submerged at all times right?(I'm not doubting you I just have to cover all bases)

I think maybe this is a little unfair to Nitrous Outlet without further valve testing, so just so everyone is clear, I am not trying to bash Nitrous Outlet or their products. Quite frankly, their DP system that is on my car has done nothing but make lots of power and be very dependable. So credits to a great company.

My goal is to be able to use the entire 15lb bottle before I yank it off thinking its empty and make sure I don't have a valve problem.
Thing that blows my mind is the NE siphon is actually smaller than the NO siphon tube.

update: Brandon has suggested a possible bad bottle fill, pumping too much air in.
YES, that is VERY possible. Come to think of it, when I emptied to bottle later in the day to check if it was really empty, did not get a good stream out standing upright.

More data to come... I'll stick the other valve in and check bottle fill.

So are there more than one lightning 45 valve? Because I bought the #20935-15 for my camaro, and remember you guys advertising the new lightning 45 a while back with a "high flow push port".

We no longer off the NANO push port lightning 45's. And we actually use a lightning 500 valve now that flows even more and is included in all of our standard systems. We decided to go larger orifice in the valve over having the push port design.

Thanks,
Garrett

Ah I didn't know that beforehand. we also got a kit from you guys already installed on a 2006 c6 and was going to get NANO setup for both without having to get a special valve from NANO.

So will these new valves work with NANO if I used one off the gauge ports? If so which port has access over the nitrous without going through the syphon tube?

Thanks

No they wont work using the gauge port. I would try to get in touch with nano for some NANO valves, we just don't have anything that will work with NANO anymore.

Thanks,
Garrett

Op. Did you manage to find the NX valve with a push port for the 15 lb bottle? If so can you share the part number for the 15 lb valve and where you get it from.
