Default vacuum source for Bov?

Will this work for a vacuum source for my 60mm Jgs Bov? It says not to hook up to a source that will let oil flow into it. I don't think that it would be a problem using the brass barb behind the throttle body. Just want to make sure. Thanks guys

Yes, that will work just fine. Just make sure you put some type of clamp to hold the hose on so it doesn't blow off under boost.

Also can I use the smaller 1/4 barb where the map sensor plugs into for my boost Gauge?

I don't see why not. You still going to run the MAP in the factory location?

For what its worth, you can cut that nipple off, and drill / tap it for 1/8" NPT and run a -3 or -4 fitting off of it. Thats what I'm doing for my fuel pressure regulator. Also, I tapped the larger hole for a 3/8 NPT nipple, and my MAP will be located just a short distance away.

Since we're on the subject,
- Can a BOV and a WasteGate share a reference line ?

I'm thinking of using a T-fitting in the top of my BOV.

I wouldn't. Any thing that is potentially a (even small) boost leak shouldn't be on the sensor. That 1/4" line on the end of the manifold next to the MAP port should be a good one for all your boost/vac reference lines. Keep the big ports for your WG/BOV/Catch can.

Speaking of which, I changed my vac lines around to have my BOV and my catch can share the same 3/8" vacuum port on the and my BOV stopped working right. Apparently the vacuum source was no longer strong enough with the leak to the catch can.

well, that makes sense. the catch can is a constant controlled leak. I'm thinking the BOV and WG won't be a problem sharing a line from a 3/8npt port on the back of a holley hi-ram.

Hoping someone already tried this and will drop their .02 in here.
