Default Whipple 4.5 is here

I would like to start off by saying thank you to Whipple Superchargers. You guys make some great products and have helped us grow to be the largest Whipple dealer in the US! This is the new 4.5 liter supercharger. They are now available through us. The pictures are just a mach up that Whipple was nice enough to send us. We will have one on the dyno laying out some 4 digit hp numbers soon! Keep your eyes open for the dyno videos.

Sneak peak to the engine we put this on...

RHS Tall Deck Block 454 cu.in.
Callies rotating
LSX 6 bolt heads with our CNC ports
CBM cam
Shooting for 14 psi

Waiting on the rest of the car to be finished, then getting strapped down to our dyno!

I too am building a 4.5 whippled LS. Mine is a 408 though. Check out my thread and let me know if I'm on the right path. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

Is there any chance under "Gods Green Earth " that this could fit under the hood of an Fbody ????

Sure, just cut a big *** hole in the hood.

The 4.5 liters are only a couple mm taller than a 3.3/4.0. And that's only because of the casted Whipple logo. They're wider. That's it.
Here's a 4.0(polished) and a 4.5 case(raw)

What are the options as far as belt and accessories go?

We have done a 383 with a 4.0 on it. 11:1 compression and 14 psi. It made like 800hp to the wheels on a sandcar. Your 402 with the 4.5 is going to be a monster! Should be a good combo. In a normal car, pump gas, you should be close to the 1000hp at the wheels. I can't wait to see what our 454 is going to make.

It should be whatever belt line you want. But I would recommend doing a single 10 rib on the blower only. If you are going to be running more then 8psi even on an 8 rib, I can see belt slip being a problem.

Damn things look bulletproof with that polishing.
