Got a few runs in with this healthy 5.0. His car rolls out and i've beaten about 98% of the bolt on 5.0s that i've run. Need to get a rematch once i get headers installed next week.



2010 C6 Grand Sport 6spd - Intake, Paper Plates.

20xx Mustang 5.0 6spd - Headers, O/R X Pipe, E85, 3.73s Tune. Think it makes around 430-440.

40-120 All i have is a shitty FB video, not sure if it will work..

5.0 pullls me by a little over a car each time.

UPDATE:

7/16 We had another go at it. Headers finally got in and installed on Monday. Have a tune scheduled in two weeks from now.

He was the same setup as I raced him previously except down some timing due to being on a N20 Tune that night.

Headers feel like they picked up a good amount just need to get a tune.

Good runs. If i ever sold my cobra i would either go to a 2010+ GT500 or a C6 Grand Sport. Love those cars.

IDK, my car weighs around 300# less but he has better gearing (Forgot to mention the 3.73s) and around 60rwhp on me.

Don't get me wrong, I see how this could happen, I just thought it would be a little tighter that's all. Realistically he's probably only got more like 40 hp than you, but you have the weight and better aerodynamics for high speed runs. Either way there is no shame here. Nice run

Nah he wasnt spraying that night. The E85 helped it out more than i would think on an N/A car.

Same night I beat a slew of bolt on 5.0s and a cammed 5th Gen. I also beat a stock GTR twice from 40-140. His car is just set up right.

still pretty embarrassing that the 5.0 needs that many mods just to edge out a stock ls3...talk about a huge let down...and then theres all the other ones that u beat

I think its pretty impressive. I've always been a mustang hater save for the 4Valve cars. I would never drive one but modded 5.0s run better than any other N/A car ford has rolled out in a long time.
