This was made in house for a good buddies max effort 347 car.

Just recently removed the old Camshaft for a new custom grind from Martin at Tick and did the .040 head gaskets.

Figured I would covert the car to SD and a few ideas from Martin we came up with this custom piece.

4" tubing to 7" Velocity stack out of the license plate location.

Did some changes all at once. Did the thinner Head gaskets/Cam/ Deleted the Power steering/ Intake system.

Old setup did 10.8 NA
10.1 100 shot
9.8 200.

Car needs a new converter to match the cam before we get any new track times.

Shane, how much of a difference would something like this be worth over a more traditional SLP lid/K&N filter setup on a heads/cam/intake LS1? Also, where did you get the velocity stack from? Looks great by the way.

Also, are you going to put some type of screen on there to keep debris from getting in?

Swap a cone filter on for street duty and stack for the track and street "fun".

Should be worth a couple mph.

At the track mine was worth a good bit to the 1/8th. Nearly a full mph and a full tenth. In the 1/4 I can see the gains being even larger.

I think it looks better than the old setup too, which I know isn't the reason you guys did it, but it's a bonus. I might have to do something similar to this before I come up that first week of August Shane. Might be worth a few extra HP.

The velocity stack can be purchased from Vibrant. Tubing can be gotten from somewhere like Race Part Solutions as can the silicone couplers.

What part, and where did you get it, did you use for the IAT relocation?

You need to produce 20 of them and sell for profit. I'd buy one; definitely an interesting setup and something you don't see often.

You could have a quick-disconnect on the rolled inlet to allow for a cone-filter and then drill holes or slots in the front license plate cover.
