Default RPMS wont go down

As you can see in my sig, I have the TSP cam in my car. I got it installed not too long ago and havent gotten it tuned yet. Is there a reason why if I am driving on the highway (or anywhere else) and I put it in neutrel why the rpms would stay at around 2000rpms.

I know that when you the car is moving at a certain speed the rpms wont go all the way down but why are they staying so high. When I come to a complete stop it'll go to approx 1000rpms then hunt for the idle before settling down at 850rpm.

Anyways just curious as to why my car is doing this. Is is just because its not tuned?

Check out PCM and tuning. You need to adjust the running airflow. Mine did something similar when I ported the TB. Just do a search on idle or scan through the threads. You'll have a lot of reading to do. FWIW I've got mine about perfect now.

same cam same problem. And this is after tuning. But the tuning sucks so i am going to try again somewhere else. I think tuning will solve the problem.

I havent drilled a whole and dont plan to. I just raised the idle using the screw on the throttle body.

I obviously plan to get it tuned. I'm going to see how well of a tune James can hook me up with. Ive been so busy that I havent had a chance to send him the rest of the info he needs to get my tune. Once I do that I'll be set. At least I hope so.

I appreciate the offer Jerami but I already had Ed do it. Thats actually some of the info I need to send James so he can make my custom tune.
