How long would stock springs last
How long would stock springs last with a 232/232 .574 .574 Cam if you never took it above 4000RPM's and this would only be for less than a week...

I would have no idea... to be honest... If you could... put it in the garage and let it sit and drive something else until u get some upgraded springs. The lift on that cam is pretty big and our bee-hive springs are cool and strong but idk how well they are going to hold with a cam that size. Be patient put it in the garage and wait for the upgraded springs... Better safe than sorry.
Hope i was of some help to u.

at 1.8 installed height the stock spring is good to .500 lift and can maybe be pushed to .525 maybe a big maybe. I would say that with .574 lift they will last long enough for you to be sorry you did not wait to change the springs. DO NOT DO THIS, wait until you can change the springs!!

Im sorry but i believe a few of the replies to your post are "assumptions" and they are giving honest advice that isnt fact based....
Ive got 25+ ls1, 5.3l,6.0l vehicles on stock springs running 02 Z06 camshafts with .550 lift. Zero coil bind, several with 30,000+ miles since installation and zero problems.
What you need to do is check for coil bind and make sure you have enough clearance. If you do, then what you were wanting to do would be fine. If it doesnt have enough clearance, it will coil bind and break things.
I have one stock 01 valve spring Z06 with .570 lift with zero problems..the only known issue is valve float @ approx 6600 rpm which we moved the rev limiter back to stock 6600 and its not a problem now.

Well my friend had a lift of .5XX/.5XX and on stock springs and he ended up having to replace the springs after starting the car and moving it out of the garage. I personally wouldnt risk it... but go ahead man.

with the potential problem you could have its not worth it to try and find out. thats why you have to plan **** out , shouldnt install a cam unless you can do it right.

I just did a TR224 cam in my 2000 vette and the springs that were shipped were wrong. So just for giggles (if something broke it would be on me and not a big deal) I dynoed the car and tuned it with the stock springs in it with the 224 cam. The car pulled 380 to the wheels (m6, Kooks, LS6 intake manifold) and pulled all the way to 6600 RPM (peaked around 6300 to 6400, hp peak was broad) with no problems. I will be putting in some 918's very soon, but I was surprised at how well the stock springs did. Perhaps what c4 vette is telling us has a lot of merit to it and the stockers are not real bad. This may be like how you can run a junkyard 100K mile bottom end for years at the track (many guys in the b-body caprice world do this) and the high dollar bottom ends come apart.
