TR 224/224 112 or 114 LSA
Im thinking about getting a cam and was planning on a TR 224. but im trying to decide between the 112 or the 114. What is the difference in power, reliability, sound, etc. Also is this a good choice for a cam?
Thanks

i have the tr224 on 112lsa with 563/563. my advice to you?? go bigger!!!!
this is a good med size cam, but a car with a bigger cam and same bolt ons as you can come around and leave you in the dust.

WIth an M6 car, the 112 LSA wont be a big deal at all. Go with the 112 if you want a slightly meaner (read "choppier") idle. A 114 LSA will be slightly more smooth than a 112.

Want a stock like idle and emissions sniffer capability? Go with the 114lsa
Great cam for stealth like performance.
Very pleased with the TTP installation of this 224/224 .563 114 lsa..

If I was to go 224, I would choose 224/224, .581/.581 112lsa for M6 and 114 for A4.
The extra lift will take you in the 410>420 hp range H/C + bolt ons.
There is also the NEW TSP 225, 225/225, .589/.589 112+2lsa that is worth a look at.

+2 mean that your cam have 2 degrees of advance ground-in (advance = lsa - icl. In this case, lsa=112+2, so centerline should be 110). Your power will peak at a slightly lower RPM than a similar cam with no advance and you will also have more torque in the lower RPMs.

This is a brand new cam and from what I've seen so far a step up on the 224/0.581/112lsa
