Default First time at the track with the new setup....look inside...

Well #1 the track is shitty...

Great Lakes Dragaway is where I raced at tonight...got about 5 passes in...

I was getting used to how to do a burnout with the TH400, finally got it perfect after a few times, the left tire even fully wet would grab when I shifted into 2nd on the burnout and then the rim spun inside the tire...

All other 60's of the night were in the mid 1.8's...

Best I could get out of it was

R/T = .345
60 = 1.75
330 = 5.070
1/8 = 7.826
MPH = 89.71
1000 = 10.217
1/4 = 12.254
MPH = 110.4

Best MPH of the night was 111.97

That was the best ET..

The suspension I am running currently all around is the bilstein road racing shocks with eibach lowering springs...also running the nice heavy chrome firehawk wheels up in front too, still got the sway bar, etc...

I didn't use the T-brake at all (not worth it) I footed stalled it a bunch of different ways..

The track was hooking for **** and no matter what kind of burnout I did they still spun?

The tire that was grabbing and the rim spinning inside is now completely flat...

ET DRAG time??

I will most likely go to US41 this weekend and get some real times on the car..

The only weight reduction done to the car is...

Backseats
Spare/Jack
Passanger Seat (track only)
Rear speakers (track only)

Few other details, the car has a 12-bolt w/3.73's..

did you hook on your best pass?

mph seems really low if you spun.

opening week i went 12.1@112 (1.69). i pretty much hooked but left easy.

i dont get how your wheel spun around the tire? how much psi were you running, like 2 pounds?

16 pounds on both sides...

Like I said, the left one is flat right now, I hope it can be repaired...

I also lost a lot of momentum off the line...it would bring up the nose and them I would start to spin and then it just dropped and picked back up..

I'm sure I can crack off some 11 second passes how it sits RIGHT now at 41

Bos you need to decide if your going to road race or set the car up for drag racing.You had the front sway bar on and firehawk wheels in the front pulling the car back down.I know the track wasn't the best condition.I manage to still cut 1.9 60's on street tires Get the swaybar off and some skinnies,plus some et drags I'm sure you'll hit the #.

BIGBOS, what converter are you running in the car? I see in your sig that you're selling the JW converter. Did it not work well for you?

Mine was good for 1.3's footbraking with the old motor. I think I may need more stall when the new motor goes in, though...

Brian I agree with Brad85CarsaMonth on this one.

your car is not setup for dragracing in all reality right now..i could tell that when you got on it when you took for a ride in march.

its not like you're gonna be racing around the turns anyway with that trans and gear, so may as well do what you need to do to get the weight transfer down.

ET is a great start, like what i'm seeing with that trans if you catch my drift But like was mentioned, I think the MPH is a bit low, did you get any ATap logs or anything during your passes?

Yea, I didn't expect to get this into drag racing, I know the suspension sucks...over the summer I will get HAL's all around and v8 springs in the back...it struggles to pull up the front now..

George I am running the identical converter that you were running, I am selling it because I want to spray, I think its too big...

John, I was very suprised to run into you, what are the chances of that happening..

I got to see if I can get my ET street repaired and then I am going to go to 41 this weekend and try to get 1.6 60's off of this suspension, if I can do that then I can only imagine what hals would do..

BIGBOS - that doesn't look to bad. You gotta remember that it will never mph like a similiar 6speed ever again. Get that puppy setup with the right stall and suspension and it should really pick up et wise.

Do you have heads yet or just a cam?

Have fun.

Congrats, were you surprised to bump into me at the RT50 Amoco?

I think that one tire has a bad seal or a hole in it.

I'd air it up and check for a hole.

My 26x11.5x15 ET Streets get run at 15ps, and lose about 2-3 lbs of air per month.

My street tires are those MH's, and loses more air than the other no idea why.

I think you have 11.9's for sure, maybe down to a 11.7 if you do what Brad suggests.

I went 12.2 on DR's with H/C/I/verter and 11.7 on ET Streets two years ago.

Good job! No sway bar and skinnies are 2 tenths and almost 2mph right there
You definitely have 11's with traction good job!

BOS you didn't do too bad a 1.70 isn't stellar but it's not terrible either - look @ my sig.

It sounds like you need to practice your burnouts and do a couple of mods and you will see some 11.9's or better.

I think Pris was cutting mid 1.6's on Nittos and she ran 12.2 @ 110.5 with very minimal mods - but she does one hell of a burnout!

That's true, but last night at GLD I could only muster 1.7X-1.8X 60's on the Nitto's. I had to really ease into it off the line or I would spin.

BOS, just a few more tweaks to your car and you're in the 11's easy.
