Anyone cam only into the 10's yet??? Just trying to set goals and determine where i want to go with my car. I'm actually trying to just stick with one idea as most of the people that do know me know i change my mind everyday. So...anyone do this yet? And of course I'm talking about with NO power adder. Anyone close to doing that? I know most of you do heads at the same time, but some of us younger folks can't afford both <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> Thanks.

Re: Anyone cam only into the 10's yet??? Hey guys, you are wrong. ARE has a car running mid 10's on a stock CI LS1. It does have a DFI but the heads are not touched.

Re: Anyone cam only into the 10's yet??? It's only been a short while since the first H/C car ran 10's with the stock short block.. give it a little more time. Someone will do it. I know of a couple guys trying for SI 10's <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Anyone cam only into the 10's yet??? Mikey, is it stock ci or stock short block? There are tons of Stock Eliminator LS1s in the 10s, probably all of them are in the 10s. They've had the shortblock gone thru though.

Anything is possible, if you continue to tweak EVERY system on the car, it won't be easy or inexpensive but the payoff would be worth it to me <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Just imagine what my new goal is now that I had to move into the heads/cam game <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Can it be done? Without a doubt!! I ran the time in the sig with a 25 mph headwind. So I figure on a day with no wind, & ET Drags, instead of streets, the car would have been in the 11.3 area.
It seems that some of the cams are getting 30 hp. So with LS1 Edit & wideband dyno tuning, I believe that I would have been right there.
That was my initial intention. However, once I added everything up, I decided to do the heads also, & ended up with the ARE stage2, and the TR 224 on a 112 ls. Wideband dyno tuning coming up Thurs, & headed to the track Sat or Sun. Expecting 10's sooner or later. Still have some things to work out.

Re: Anyone cam only into the 10's yet??? Thanks PSJ, you know i'll be asking a lot more questions when we have the MFBA gatherings. Might need to take a trip later in fall down to Houston if US41 isn't working out. Cause you know GLD probably won't get me there.
