Default CAGS used for NO MORE MISSED 3-2 shifts?

I have HPTuners. From looking at the tranny stuff and CAGS items, it appears you could set CAGS to actually "lock out" 2nd to keep you from doing the dreaded 3-2 shift at nearly 100 mph. I don't THINK CAGS will lock out 3 as well, but honestly I haven't hit CAGS in so long I can't remember! lol Well, if someone has some feedback on this please post it up. Search function didn't help me.

I have seen this discussed about a year ago and they where using edit at the time. But in HP Tuners their is a Enable and Disable speed setting and a TPS% parameter. It seems like you could just bump the enable and disable speeds to where you would be shifting at the track going from 3rd to 4th so that it was enabled at just the maximum speed that would destroy your engine/tranny if you downshifted and have it disable at any speed less than that. I might mess around with it just to see but it seems pretty straight foward. It would be cheap insurance to enable it to operate that way.

I would be interested in hearing if anybody has actually done this. I haven't missed a shift yet, but it is never too early to start.

I still have bad dreams of doing the 3-2 on the strip. Did it twice with my old stick and luckly I was quick enought to push in the clutch and shift to nuetral before BOOM. I wouldn't powershift for this reason.

I have tried and it hasn't worked yet. I think the problem is the max throttle disable % is 100, so when you go wide open throttle cags is disabled. The HPtuners guys are gonna give me an update so I can change it to 101%. I'll keep you guys updated.

You might want to check cable slack and bumpstop
just to see if there is more throttle there, for you.

BARO is what the engine figures atmospheric pressure
to be; judge your MAP readings against this as the
full-scale (perfect intake tract) value on a NA car.

Any more news on this?

If I am registering 100% at WOT does that mean if I set the disable TPS at 100% is will disable it at 100% or it will disable it once you exceed 100%?

Also, what happens if CAGS is engaged while still in 2nd gear? Will that lock out 1st gear or will it lock you INTO 2nd gear?

How the hell do you shift 3-2? Fourth is straight down, you guys need to pay attention to what you're doing.

As far as using CAGS, I wouldn't, if I remember right, you can't shift into 3rd either when it comes on between 1 and 4
