Wink Finally got my car dyno tuned *PICS*

After getting my head gasket replaced and tuning other peoples cars, I finally got around to tuning my own.

My mods are:

Absolute Speed STG 2 241 Heads
TR Custom Cam, 230 230 .575 .575 114 lsa
Ported TB
ASP Pulley
EWP
Jet Hot LTs
Cutout
GMMG Cat Back
SVO 30lb Injectors
Lid
Holley Powershot Air Filter
160 Stat

I was hoping for 430 HP & 405 TQ, but it's close. I like the flat torque curve, it pulls very hard and smooth. I won't be taking it to the track until a 12 bolt goes in.

Enjoy the graph!

Bill

Very nice power. Are the numbers showing head and cam or did you have a shot of nitrous?

Those numbers are just Heads & Cam, no Nitrous.

Hey Bill

Nice numbers man

I think you could have hit your 430# if you had the A/F around 12.8-13.0

How Much Timing are you running on the na pull?

Thanks guys!!!

When I tune cars, I want to be safe, that's why I go for a 12.5-1 A/F. When you run your car on the street, it tends to be a tad leaner. The dyno just doesn't "load" the car like the street does.

Timing was at 28.

I'm not too rich on the juice, you want a 11.5-11.8 A/F.

Numbers look good man. What nitrous system are you running? You planning on running more juice to it?

I'm using a NOS 5177 Dry kit. No more juice, my fuel system is not up to par. I plan on going with a 408 Stroker and a Direct port wet kit this winter/next spring.

Here's a pic of my old N20 dyno graph with my old TR 224 114lsa cam. I'm guessing the extra duration with my new cam kills my power down low (N20 graph above)

Yeh, I don't blame you with that much power and a dry shot. The graph looks good with the smaller cam too. One more ?, is your car an auto or M6? Thanks and good luck with your project!

It's an M6 with a Cartek clutch and stock rear end (3.42).

Your numbers & mine are real close N/A. Mine put down 426 RWHP & 396 RWTQ SAE. I don't have an EWP, how many RWHP does everyone think they are worth? I'm curious what valves those heads have? I've often wondered what bigger valves would be worth in the power department? Thanks for any feed back. My current setup includes;
LS6 Intake, Slp Air Lid, SSRA, 30lb svo injectors, Kook 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 headers, cutout, flowmaster catback, no cats, ported stock valve heads, 228/228 .571/.571 112 cam, Moser 12 bolt 4.11's, Metco LCA's, Hal rear drag shocks, after market hurst shifter, Spec stage 3 clutch, ported TB, this was with 28 degrees timing.

Great numbers!

How much advance is ground into your cam? Is it a 114+4?

How is the idle?

Thanks

John

The cutout was worth about 4HP. I have 2 degrees of advance ground into that cam.

This cam idles fine and no surging. I have the idle set at 850.

That cam will be up for sale this winter if I get my 408 stroker done this fall/winter.

nice numbers Bill, On the A/F i heard it runs .5 leaner on the street or a mustang dyno than it will on a show on a dyno jet. Im running 10.8 to 11.1 A/F on a mustang dyno. cant wait to see the stroker next year
