Ready for THUNDER ?????? I AM=9.72
Went to Moroso friday night with the Trans Am. We made some changes to the suspension and gear. New MADMAN torque arm and pan hard rod(and one hundred phone calls) and stepped the gear down to 3.89. Heres how it went
First Pass R/T .511 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
60... 1.369 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
330... 3.983
1/8... 6.173 Shut it off at 1/8
MPH... 112.15
1000... 8.269
1/4... 10.323
MPH... 104.29
Second Pass R/T .533
60... 1.366 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
330... 3.971
1/8... 6.161
MPH... 111.92
1000... 8.098
1/4... 9.729
MPH... 137.96
I was very happy with this. This was on the dry kit with a 73 pill. The car did not sputter in high gear and went through the traps at 6430 rpm. It had been 139 going through at 6800. The car was a little underweight but I think the scales at moroso are off. It was not the best pass on the car but almost with less spray. Im ready and will see everyone in Loisianna. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

congrats on those times, I'm guessing they are preping moroso better than in years past when I raced there. Cutting a 1.3 60 foot on friday is unreal! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Damn Stefan, are you trying to scare everyone from going? Anyway, that pass was on the foot brake and a single stage of nitrous and at 3500lb race weight?? Is your 396 AFR headed with solid roller? I am just amazed at your times. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Re: Ready for THUNDER ?????? I AM=9.72
Hey Slowmaro, the motor is a 396 w/ LT-4 heads, a hydraulic roller and a single stage dry kit. That was on the t-brake though leaving the line at 3000rpm. The car was slightly under 3400 pounds according to the scales at moroso??? I think they are a little off. Dont want to scare any one but im looking to go 9.50s at 140 plus with stock 93 electronics and a chip. We will see if it can at THUNDER SHOOTOUT. Hope to see everyone there.
