LG forged shortblock, AS 5.3, g5x3!!!
just got a call from LG. got my new forged motor all finished up and dynoed. i'm finally gonna be able to drive and enjoy the car after almost a year of engine troubles.
and the results:
445 rwhp cut-outs open
430 rwhp through a pacesetty y-pipe and stock SS exhaust
this motor probably dosn't have 100 miles on it yet even
this is through a complete drag racing drivetrain as well.
i was so giddy that my car was done i forgot to even ask about the torque or if they could e-mail a graph. i'll get that info when i pick the car up on friday or monday and post it up.
BIG THANKS GOES TO LG AND AS!!

so, here's the numbers:
440 rwhp, 390 rwtq.
the 445 in my previus post was actually a spike so i'm not counting it.
sorry, can't get my scanner to work or i'd post the graph, but here's an idea of what
the graph looks like:
300 rwtq at 3000rpms,
peak torque occurs at 4700rpms,
hp stays above 435 to 7200rpm rev-limiter
picked the car up on friday. i've put about 500 miles on it and it is running great. sat in traffic for 2 hours leaving dallas without issue. the car drives much better than it ever did with my old tr230 tune. i have been driving the car everywhere, and loving it.
can't wait to get back to the track with this thing. should be fun

thanks jay.
i allways knew that the heads could perform. they just didn't make any power with the tr230 no matter how i had the valvetrain setup. that motor checked out great during a leakdown test as well. so, the motor was still strong (before it decided to eat itself cruising down the highway). i'm thinking that cam was just totally mismatched for the heads.
