Best hooking street tires
Just looking for the best non-drag radial street tire that will work with the factory 17x9 WS6 rims. Something that will hook up good at the track and still offer good wet traction and tread life on the street. Anotherwords, the best of both worlds

Are GS-D3s Goodyears? Haven't heard of them before. I considered going with a set of 275/50 Nittos but have heard they aren't as wide as the stock F1s. I'm sure they will hook good but for appearance sake would like to keep as wide a tire on the back rims as possible.

Here is what a brand new set of 285-40R17
GS-D3s looks like on a lowered (Hotchkiss)
Camaro SS. A little chubby but not to the
point of total stupidity. These pics are at
about 28PSI inflation (I told the tire dude
30, but my digital gauge said 28 @ warm).
No scrub at full lock level (have yet to bounce
it at full lock, but looks OK) and the rear looks
like it still has clearance though I may adjust
the Panhard for luck and travel excursions.
Not too squirmy but much more comfortable
than the F1s (28PSI will do that, some). If
I find any handling downsides I'll update.
