IRC it will take about .028 to bring the 71cc down to 67. it takes approx .007 to remove 1cc from an LS1 head, so .007x4=.028

IRC? what is it short for? also considering that an LS1 head has a different style of chamber then the 6.0L wouldn't that formula me kind of off.

IRC should have been IIRC(if I recall correctly). the 5.7L and 6.0L have the same basic combustion chamber design other than the obvious difference in cc size and the 6.0L is setup for a 4" bore. basic rule of thumb is .007-.008 of milling equals 1cc.

Q: for Brad or some other sharp cookie. If you had a 6.0 Lq4 (9.4comp) and bolted on a set of untouched LS6 heads, what would the compression ratio be?

Call a sponsor and get the right numbers. The last thing you want is shave too much or not enough. Also you have to be careful with PV clearance depending on the cam and valves you are running. Also you would have to specify head gasket used and thickness.
I would get a professional opinion, perhaps a couple if I were you.

Awsome, i just called TEA and they said the same thing ".030". Also they can shave and cc them for $100. i just might send them over to them. the pistons should clear since they have pretty good releafs in them but i will just have to check it out when i get it all together. thanks.
