Why would you want one anyway?

UMI Performance can get you one... Sponser -------->

I don't really buy into the whole TB spacer idea, but one nice thing is if you're running nitrous, you can machine a threaded insert for the nossle.

I did not feel any difference in my Silverado I don't think it will make any power in a LS1.

I read some good info about a guy who used a 3/4 smooth bore spacer and repeatedly got about a 3 horsepower increase. Seems like a sound idea to me. It's not about swirling...I am just interested in seeing if the increased plenum volume makes a difference. It doesn't look like UMIPerformance makes one. I saw a company makes a swirler for our engines, but those really are crap IMO.

Hello,

We do actually make one for the LS1, however I will not put it on the market until I run it on the dyno. I myself am not to sure what it would do, so we will see as soon as we get a chance. If by chance there is some gains we will most likely market it with and with out a Nitrous port like DMNSPD mentioned. I'll try to get this test run done soon and post some results.

Will it be smooth bore, or swirl...or will we be able to get it either way?

We have one of each to test. I assume the results would be the same but for the ease it takes to install we are going to try both. Hope that helps.
