Default RASP with TSP's True Duals

Anyone else? It's kind of wierd though, it doesn't rasp when i'd expect to. Under heavy driving it's fine, but it does it during normal driving, as in shifting at like 2500 - 3000 rpms...any thoughts?

I haven't the slightest idea what you mean. Mine shakes the car with a very deep rumble when I shift? only thing I can think of would be an exaust leak somewhere somehow.

I've had true duals with Borla XR-1's.. and there was absolutely no rasp. I'm pretty sure that my sweet thunders are gonna be rasp free also.

You are probablly thinking of interior drone, not rasp. Have a friend drive by you in the car around those rpms.

i agree, from everything i have heard, true duals dont rasp. I would check for leaks and possible clearance issues where there maybe some rubbing.

Also, what is the rest of your setup? If you dont have headers. Maybe you are not able to supply enough exhaust to them to fill them up and have a constant value free flowing out of the pipes. Therefore, if not a constant value it could possible sound a little poppy (but probably pretty deep). Anyway, that is just and idea that has not been proven by me. So i could just be talkin out my ***.

Also, if you want to hear the rasp sound, just listen to my car . But i must say i just love going under underpasses and racking them off at those jap crap fart can cars with ground effects that dont even match the color of their car.

Also, i forgot to add, i have not heard anyone speak of this with TSP's true duals, but i have a friend who has true duals going under the axle and he said that he has an obnoxious drone around 2200 - ~25 or 2600 rpms.

What kind of muffler do you have on there? I dont have any rasp on my 3 inch duals, but lane fabbed mine up for me. The interior drone isnt even that bad although its alot louder since the trex

I've personally heard the car a few times and I didn't here any rasp at all man, like others said, I would put my money on an exhaust leak since you probably have about 5 leaks or so

I have TSP and took my time putting it up. There is no rasp at all with no cats and pacesetter headers which i did all myself. There might be a leak or scraping. Good luck to ya.

3 of the 3" band clamps I used were already used before, so I'll swap them out...maybe they aren't meant to be re-used. FBodman, why you calling me out man? After I took the temporary clamps off and put the new ones on, there are no leaks.

As for the other questions, I have Jet Hot Lt's, K&N FIPK, Ported/POlished MAF and TB, LS6 intake.

It's not droan, that only happens when I'm first taking off at about 1400 rpms...rattles the back seat, this is under easy driving when I push the clutch in...may not be rasp, but definately not interior droan.

I'll have the car back up on jacks this week and I'll double check everything and replace those old clamps.

well I took 2 different people for rides tonight (both have fbods of course) and apparently my definition of rasp is no where near what rasp really is. they said that it definately wasn't any sort of rasp, so I stand humbly corrected. big props to TSP cuz I really starting to dig this system
