Default When to use wheel screws?

I just got a new set of tires for my 15x10 Draglites. They are 28x10.5 drags, and I will be running them behind a 396 on nitrous with a TH400, no brake. Are there any disadvantages to running screws? I have never run tubes in the past but would it be a good idea with screws?

I have them with my MT slicks. I highly recommend rim/tire screws.
Disadvantages?? Other then install, none. Just take your time, use masking tape to mark out the correct placement for the screws, and dont slip with the drill and scratch your wheel.

Rim screws are used to hold the tire in place to the wheel if it slips/rotates on the wheel during launching. I haven't found them necessary yet, and I give my tires quite a workout.

They're also usually needed if you run inner tubes, since just a small bit of rotation would cut/rip the valvestem on the tube.

IMHO, if you don't need them, I wouldn't go through the hassle.

To rim screw OR not to rim screw? That is the question. I finished 1 wheel today and I'll do the other tomorrow. What the heck

I screwed mine after tires turned two inches on the rim.You find some that say ya others say no.You can test for yourself, draw a line with white chalk on sidewall onto rim, make several passes if lines dont match screw em.

I use screws in mine.. Why, cause it isn't that hard to do in all honesty or have done. I run tubes in my tires. I feel it is just a safety. I am not looking for the last nats aise in weight loss so don't mind.
