Default Pacesetters produce as much power are QTPs/Kooks?

So, I was planning on getting the 1 3/4 QTPs w/ offroad pipe for my SS. I know that those and Kooks produce the highest quality header and I only like to put the best products on my car. I really don't need the stainless steel I dont' think because the car never sees rain or bad weather and gets only about 3,000 miles put on it a year. So, I noticed that I can get the coated Pacesetters w/ TSP offroad pipe for $600 even. I would save close to $500 which I consider a huge difference. So my question is, do the Kooks/QTPs produce anymore power than the Pacesetters? I was fully planning on getting the QTPs but now Im not so sure. Thanks for any advice.

I've not purhased mine yet, but I'm about to, and have been doing much research. So my oppinion is worth exactly what you payed for it.... (nothing) But in my reading, people get about the same power gain from either LT header system. The devil's in the details though. The super cheep ones are really flimsy and week w/ poor fit. On the other end of the spectrum you have the Stainless systems which are crazy nice and will never rust. But power wise they're all about the same.

The power output will be the same and the new pacesetters aren't really desinged so cheap anymore

Still not up to QTP but not utter crap.

I ran a 12.67 at 106 before headers, after 12.23 at 110, so i'm guessing I picked up 40 horsepower with the pacesetters, and I already had a ory on my stock manifolds, so it would have been more if I still had cats.

I highly reccoment pacestters, their fitment was great, and they look great.

I completely understand that the Pacesetters will not be close to QTP/Kooks in the quality department. Ive just kind of always used the motto of "you get what you pay for." But if I can save $500 on the headers and still have great fit (which I have heard is no problem w/ the new Pacesetters) and decent quality then I might just put that $500 towards a tune or 12 bolt or something. I just don't want to leave like 10 hp (not to mention the superior quality and SS) on the table because I skimped on headers. Hmmmm, decisons, decisions....

Would 10 hp be worth $500 dollars anyway? You would get a ton more out of a tune w/ that money. Plus you would know that your ride was running the way it should.

The new pacesetters are very nice! Fit perfect too!

And I am sure that they produce around the same power.

Yeah, actually in the long run 10 hp may be worth that much. I think 10 hp is quite a difference for just headers. Thanks for the replys guys.
