Default New'b has a question for LS1 owners.

There is a 2000 Camaro Z28 for sale at a local Saturn dealership for $12,700. Its an auto with leather interior, pwr everything, cd, t-tops, stock with 56,000 miles(to many miles?). Does that seem like a decent price? I want to go look at it tomorrow and if they give me about $5500-$6000 for my T/A I would be set, as long as it is in good condition. Also what year's are all your LS1's and how many miles on them? Thanks, and here is a link to a pic of the car(not the best pic). http://www.autoshopperonline.com/vie...asp?ID=1121278

Nice color..
The price and mileage seem ok to me..

I got lucky and picked up my '00 Z/28 for 12,800 with 27k miles. You should be able to haggle them down a bit on it.

If all looks well, go for it..

That's a pretty good price. If it's in good condition, go for it!

You should be able to knock off 2grand at minimum, from the price, at least that was the normal after I visited many auto dealerships looking for a suv for my parents.

My LS1 is in my sig, it had 9800 miles on it when I bought in june and I paid $17,200. I paid very high, but it was worth it in my opinion to get the car I wanted.

My 98 is coming up on 100,000 miles and I haven't had any major problems. Just maintanence like brakes and plugs and wires. I can't believe how good it has held up. I hope it goes another 100,000.

Offer them 8k and go from there. If you can, find out how long it's been on the lot. The longer it's been there, the more you can hagle the price.

Always Hagle on the price. But it looks good and the price is about right. My car had 75000 miles when I bought it and was driven hard by the previous owner, runs great! The ls1 cars a very good and respond well to mods.

Always try to work on the price it cant hurt. Look at everything looking for things to that can get money taken off. They probably will not give you much for your car so if possible try and sell it yourself.

that seems like a good price, but I doubt that you'll get as much as you want for you T/A. I payed 14,400 for my 99 Z in Feb of 2003 with 58,000 miles. It was extremely well taken care of and the seller had all of his service reciepts with synthetic oil changes ~ every3K miles. He had also just dished out some big bucks for a new OEM SS hood.

Well they offered me $5000 for my car, but I just wasnt feeling the car. The color isnt exactly what I was looking for and I am just a Firebird guy I guess. So I will wait around until next spring and buy a lower mileage T/A that I come across. Thanks for all the comments.

I paid 11,500 for my '00 Z w/46K on it.

Check out my introduction thread for more info on it.

I still think that price is a decent deal but there is room to negotiate.
