I am an idiot, please help
I installed my pacesetters a while ago and in all the excitement did not plan on putting my plug wires back on in the correct order. I have some MSD wires I am waiting to put on and can't figure out which wire goes to which plug. Any help would be awesome.
Also, what is this blue piece of **** with white slideable numbers on it that comes with the wires? Is there any purpose behind it?

I'm not sure how you could mix up plug wires on an LS1. Coil near plug means the coil pack is directly above the sparkplug so its a straight shot. I don't even think the wires are long enough to reach the wrong plug.

Are you talking about the plug wires or the coil packs? Almost impossible to put the plug wires on wrong, as others stated above, but you can put the coil packs on in the wrong order of you have a earlier Fbod. THe later ones. like mine, are on a rail/bracket that's symmetrical, no matter what side (D or P) you attach it to.

What it sounds like to me is that you didnt match the correct wire to the correct coil/plug. If thats the case, then dont worry about it, wires are wires are wires, there is no correct order.

guess i should've mentioned the fact all the wires are exactly the same, that would have tied it all together nicely LOL.

But if you change which number wire goes where, then you mess up the firing order! The computer talks to the coil and determines where each wire is and fires it according to the PCM program.
Just kidding.
