Default 04 jetta 1.8T....caught me off guard

00 pewter ws6 a4- bone stock except everyone's favorite 80 series ....but not for long.

Last night, one of my friends and myself were out trying to kill some time before we met up with some other people to go to this party, so we decided to cruise down the main street here in raleigh that is notorious for street racing. Being that it was about 12:45 at this time and most of the rice had headed home, we decided to start on our way back in the direction of meeting our friends, well on the way to do so, a silver jetta happened to pull up beside me. My friend starts jokin with me bout not wastin my gas on the 4 banger, but just for ***** and giggles, i jumped on him a couple times anyway (in my attempt to show 8 cylinder dominance). Jetta guy decideds to find the gas pedal and made a surprisingly impressive jump back at me. At this point i was almost at the ramp to get on the interstate and had decided to let this guy go. He had other things in mind and saw me getting on the ramp and decided to get on too, as we take the turn, he's out in front about 5-6 carlengths until we straighten out and i hit the gas and come up beside him, from then we went from about a 50 roll and he stayed damn near attached to my rear bumper up until 120. Me and my buddy were to say the least, surprised. so we got the guys attention and motioned for him to follow us off at the next exit and we got out and talked for a minute. Turns out he had nothing but cold air intake which in his words was "a piece of **** and waste of money" and a chip with which he had bumped his PSI up to 20. All in all i was impressed and as always appreciative to have made a new friend, cool guy.

That 1.8T is a great motor to modify. There are some guys here with Stg 3 turbo systems pushing over 300 Hp in a 2900 3000 lb car. I've been in one and it's very impressive.

Hehe, 1.8L.

I used to love the expressions on people's faces when they found out I only had a 1.3L and they got their *** handed to them in their LS-1.

So this was a woflenberg (sp?) model. I love jettas because they remind me of bmw's. They are very sleek looking.

Man, you got me buddy!

I guess I won't post anymore....

Should I have said Viper, bike, Porsche, Ferrari, Toyota and Ford owners as well?

I am here for people like yourself.

P.S. Are you synonymous with the toy my children play with when they take a bath?

i'm not trying to get you. If you don't want to post anymore that's fine. I'd rather say a Viper than a Volkswagon. I'm glad you're hear just for me, makes me feel tingly all over. Yes, a rubber duck can be a toy you play with.

Psst, rubber duck. A simple glance at the post count can help you avoid embarassing mistakes in the future. I wish somebody told me that when I was more noobier. Usually when someone has 3K+ posts, theres a pretty good reason theyre here. Although, come to think about it, i can think of a few exceptions!

It's not post count at all. Titty has been here pretty much since the beginning, and before most of us. He's got a hell of a lot of history on this forum, particularly in the street racing section.
